New Painting Group

It has been a long time since I posted to my blog. I am so excited about a new painting group we are forming here in Rockingham. It will be meeting Wed and Thurs weekly @ the 1st United Methodist church on E Washington St. This is located right in downtown Rockingham across from the Historical Society. We will be meeting from 1 - 4 pm, there will be a still life for you to work from or bring something you are working on or your own pictures to use. This should be a lot of fun. We are working on other events for artist in the Richmond county area to participate in. Stay in touch. This is a picture of one of the ladies working on the still life. Stop in and join us.

 

Impression of my barn

 This is one of my favorite painting. I had taken a class last fall and the instructor was in to Cape cod style.Very free flowing with a lot of color. I really enjoyed his class and hope to take another this fall.

Some of my paintings

This is a pastel that I just completed of my husbands dog Bandit. She is really sweet and I think I captured her. I have only been doing pastels for 2 years and have a lot to learn. It is a fun medium to use. I started this one in a class that I was taking. Hope you enjoy it.
